Children's Church
The Children’s Church program at Hilltop United Church of Christ is focusing this year on introducing children 5th grade and younger to the structure of adult worship services while helping them become more comfortable in their roles as part of the church family. They attend the first part of each regular Sunday service before they go to the classroom setting. There they participate in Children's Church, a slightly less structured version of the adult service - complete with opening prayer, sharing, offering and a lesson. The lessons are Bible stories from the "Gather 'Round" series that offer a real-life modern application for Biblical teachings. Occasional interaction with the older youth, crafts and outdoor activities help round out their overall church experience. Come and enjoy Children's Church - a fun way to worship and learn together!
Youth Ministry
Hilltop has an active Youth Group for middle school and high school age young people. The group meets on Sunday morning during the worship time. The young people attend the first part of the service and then go to the Youth Room to meet with Angie Law, Youth Leader. Angie leads the group in discussions that relate the Bible to issues and concerns in the students’ lives. The young people participate in the life of Hilltop in a variety of ways including leading the worship service on Youth Sundays, baking cookies for Fellowship Time and helping with mission projects. The Youth Group is always ready to welcome new middle school and high school age young people.
